POSTURE

Sit in easy pose. Keep the spine straight. A light Jalandhar Bandh (neck lock): with the neck long and the chin tucked in slightly.

MUDRA

Place both palms in the lap, facing up.

For women: place the left hand into the right.

For men: place the right hand into the left.

The tips of the thumbs touch.

Or Women bring the left thumb so it points down and hooked with right thumb, right hand wraps around both thumbs and the left hand closes over the back of right hand and the mudra rests in the lap. Men reverse fingers and hands.

EYES

The eyes are closed, With a light concentration at the brow point.

BREATH AND MANTRA

Take a deep breath, then chant the mantra completely as you exhale. One round plus inhale takes 15 to 20 seconds. Use the ascending scale

When you vibrate the ‘Hung’ sound it should come from the upper nose and skull.

TIME

11-31 min

ENDING

Take a deep inhalation,

Suspend as you hold the breath in briefly,

and then relax.

COMMENTS

If you want to understand the power of this mantra, do the meditation for 31 minutes a day for forty days. Eat lightly during that period and drink plenty of water, fluids and yogi tea (pop up window with yogi tea recipe).

You are designed to function well with vast thoughts. Sometimes you lose the connection to great vistas, to intuition of the infinite and to the chain of being of all life. The mantra blends qualities that are like seed templates. Those seeds that are planted deep in the mind open the inner doorway to uplifting and healing thoughts.
